Job Description
As an essential member of the marketing team, this position is responsible for developing the strategy for current customer e-marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), digital content distribution, affiliate and other online mechanisms that drive customer acquisition and sales to TVG.com. This position is accountable for meeting current customer & new customer acquisition goals, revenue goals and cost targets, providing accurate and timely reporting, and developing and driving strategy for current and future initiatives. The Internet Marketing Manager will work closely in conjunction with other key stakeholders in order to position TVG as a leader in multi-channel online/digital marketing.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for developing and overseeing short and long term objectives, plans and strategies to grow current customer segments, SEO, affiliate with a focus on ROI and customer acquisition metrics.
Influence conversion through messaging, promotion, and landing page optimization; maintain consistent content, data and branding across all online marketing.
Manage internal and external resources/vendors to meet marketing program goals, deadlines and revenue/cost goals.
Identify opportunities to increase relevance, increase optimization/conversion, and attract more valuable new customers.
Apply rigorous direct marketing principles and testing discipline to effectively maximize return on marketing investment by leveraging results and analysis. Analyze data and trends and develop appropriate strategies based on that data.
Collaborate with key functional areas including Marketing, Agency, Creative, Web Development, Finance, Production, Legal & Regulatory, Pricing, Call Centers, and external vendors to meet marketing program goals and deadlines and address customer issues.
Leverage and integrate key corporate or business initiatives into assigned marketing programs.
Skills
Ability to manage external vendors, articulating program goals, while trouble shooting problems and conflict resolution.
Experience having primary responsibility for management of a marketing budget.
Project-oriented, entrepreneurial, pro-active, creative and self-motivated work style.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering superior results within given deadlines.
Strong ability to identify business issues, formulate plans to resolve these issues, and effectively communicate the results to senior management.
Strong written, presentation, creative, strategic thinking, analytical, and relationship management skills.
Must be able to analyze banners and messaging, work with production and traditional marketing to create multi-channel campaigns. And be able to analyze successes and failures of campaigns to optimize for future online buys
Experience/Training/Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related business field
Five or more years of related experience at an advertising agency or media company
Five or more years e-commerce experience; multi-channel retailer experience a plus.
Strong knowledge of industry best practices in search engine marketing (organic search and paid search), affiliate networks, comparison shopping engines, retargeting, and email marketing.
Event marketing experience is a plus
